    Go Bengal brings you yet another reason to get excited this monsoon. If you are a foodie and love sea food, then you must grab this opportunity to binge on your favourites at the Illish-Chingri festival, at one of Bengal’s most loved travel hotspots, the Sunderbans. This festival is a 2day-3night affair held on two holiday slots of 11th-13th & 13th-15th August.

    Day 1: You’ll be picked up from your location in Kolkata and taken to Gothkhali, where you will be transferred to a boat to Dulki, where you will check in at your resort. In the afternoon, you’ll visit the Sunset point/ Bird’s Island and at night, you’ll enjoy the thrills of the forest at the comfort of your resort which is right opposite the Sajnekhali Tiger Reserve. All this would be perfectly complimented with sumptuous food.

    • Breakfast: Puri, sabji, sweets and fruits.
    • Lunch: Rice, Dal, Bhaja, Sabji, Chingri Dish/ Bhapa Ilish / Begun Ilish, Chatni, Papad.
    • Evening snacks: Tea/coffee with Pakoras.
    • Dinner: Khichuri, Ilish Bhaja, Begun Bhaja & Papad.

    Day 2:  After a hearty breakfast, you’ll be taken sightseeing in a boat to the Sajnekhali Watch tower, Sudhanyakhali Watch Tower, Pir Khali, GajiKhali, Nonagajikhali, ChoraKhali, Dobanki Watch Tower and Panchamukhani. You will be treated to a tasty lunch on the boat & will return back to the resort for the night.

    • Breakfast: Bread with Butter & Jam/Puri Sabji, Boiled Egg, Sweets, Tea/Coffee.
    • Lunch: Rice, Dal, Bhaja, one Sabji, Shorshe Ilish, Bagda Chingrir Malaikari, Chatni & Papad.
    • Evening snacks: Tea/coffee with Pakoras.
    • Dinner: Fried Rice, Chilli Chicken, Chatni, Papad & Salad.

    Day 3:  After breakfast you’ll be taken on a village tour to soak in the surrounding beauty. Finally after an early lunch you’ll check out from the resort and head back to Gathkhali to proceed for Kolkata.

    • Breakfast: Bread with Butter & Jam/Puri Sabji, Boiled Egg, Sweets, Tea/Coffee.
    • Lunch: Rice, Dal, Bhaja, one Sabji, Shorshe Ilish / Begun Ilish, Bagda Chingrir Malaikari /Chicken Curry, Chatni & Papad.

    The entire cost for this trip would amount to Rs 5,500 for Non AC rooms, per person & Rs 6500 per person for AC rooms, along with GST (5 %) extra as applicable.

    Do note:

    1) Children above 9 years of age will be charged full.

    2) Child below 9 years (between 6+ years to 8+ years age) will be charged Rs. 4,000/-.

    3) Child between 3+ years to 6 years of age will be charged 50% of the full cost.

    4) Child below 3 years will be complementary (free of any extra cost).

    AC will be working from 8:30 pm – 6:00 a.m. As there is no electricity, generator is the only power source.
